A no-cook sauce made in 5 minutes with 8 ingredients that are readily available in your kitchen! If you’re all about making your own sauces, then this is the recipe for you. You won’t find any mystery ingredients here as you would find in jarred or canned pizza sauce.

I didn’t realize how easy it was to make pizza sauce. I thought it would be just like any other tomato sauce that would need to simmer for hours, but it’s really just mixing and refrigerating until ready to use. That’s what I would call an easy recipe! My pizza sauce recipe yields enough to make 2 large pizzas with, or 4 medium, etc. The ingredients are commonly found in your kitchen such as tomato sauce, tomato paste, and various dried herbs. The addition of fresh basil just brings so much flavor. It reminds me almost of the pizza sauce I would enjoy on a New York pizza (I miss my NY slices so much!), so you know it’s superior.

Tips & FAQs
- Storage: Keep in a mason jar in the fridge for up to 1 week. It may begin to separate, so be sure to stir it before using it.
- Freeze: This can be frozen in a ziploc bag for up to 3 months.
- Why is sugar needed? It helps balance the acidity in the tomato products. Canned tomatoes tend to have a higher acidity to them than fresh tomatoes.
